10th Anniversary Learning Disability Big Health Check and Social Care Open day, Tuesday 22nd May 2018 Oxstalls Sports Park
Together, working in partnership, we have all have pulled off a fantastic event which has a huge impact on the awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities and the ever innovative resources, information, advice and support available in Gloucestershire and on our boarders.
Providing inclusion and choice in a wide range of leisure activities – adapted sport for all ages, the arts, health and social care support and information services and education, enables people to get out and about and making friends promotes health and wellbeing.
The volunteers from Hartpury College, Dena Magna and Inclusion Gloucestershire were fantastic, making everyone welcome and assisting where needed in the car park, registration, adapted sports and with the stall holders in and out on the grounds.
The final count this year attending the day was 1,257, give or take a few police horses, therapy dogs, sheep, goats and bantam chickens!
101 stall holders and static display vehicles, just demonstrates the wealth of amazing organisations and services we have in Gloucestershire and partners in surrounding counties, that can make a difference in reducing health inequalities and improving quality of life.
Thank you to everyone for their tremendous support on yet another fantastic Big Health Check and Social Care Open Day.
