Free Swimming at GL1

The Government announced on 17th June that funding for the national free swimming scheme was being suspended from 31st July 2010.

The current scheme at GL1 will therefore cease on 31st July.

Aspire Sports & Cultural Trust feel it is important to continue to offer value for money access to swimming and with effect from 9th July
the following alternative options will be available:

Juniors (16 & Under)

£2.45 Normal Swim

£15.00 Summer Membership – Unlimited Public Swimming (Valid Sat 24th July through Mon 30th Aug)

£24.50 Annual Swimming Membership - Unlimited Public Swimming

If you have a valid £3 “Free Swimming Card”, Aspire have extended the free period until Monday 30th August.

You will also be sent a voucher enabling you to upgrade your membership for a discounted rate of £10 until the 31st March 2011.

Over 60’s

£2.45 Normal Swim

£34.50 Annual Swimming Membership - Unlimited Public Swimming

If you have a valid £3 “Free Swimming Card”, Aspire have extended the free period until Monday 30th August. You will also be sent

a voucher enabling you to upgrade your membership for a discounted rate of £10 until the 31st March 2011.

If are not yet enrolled on the scheme, to register for a FreeSwim card valid until July 31st 2010, visit GL1 reception with a £3 registration fee.

Please check the new pool timetable / information sheet as certain sessions require adult supervision.

Unlimited swimming through the Summer Holiday for just £15

If you’re aged 16 and under you can enjoy unlimited swimming from Saturday 24th July through to Monday 30th Aug for just £15.

Membership only available to persons aged 16 and under.
