In December 2015, 5-year-old Elizabeth tragically lost her life to a rare autoimmune condition. Her mother Natalia has since raised over £100,000 for the Bristol Children’s Hospital and is continuing her fund-raising efforts and we are helping to achieve her next goal.
On Saturday 4th February, 22 swimmers took part in the Rainbow Swim at GL1. Wow - what an achievement! Collectively, the team swam almost 32km; the original target was 7km, one for each colour of the rainbow. The team therefore swam over four rainbows in beautiful Elizabeth's memory.
Every individual, from the very young to the older team members, were committed to the swim and showed their eagerness by pushing themselves to the limit.
The team has raised over £1000 for Elizabeth’s Footprint, a charity set up in Elizabeth’s memory to support Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal. Further donations can still be made by accessing the following link;
