Sports Events at GL1

GL1 hosts a wide variety of swimming and sporting events throughout the year.

The 8 lane, 25m Barton Pool can accomodate swimming galas for local clubs as well as national and international championships. The pool hall has spectator seating for 600.

Aspire during 2010 hosted over 25 swimming events including :

• The British Synchronised Swimming Championships
• Gloucester Swimming Club Championships
• Gloucestershire ASA Masters and Sprints Championships
• The British Swimming National Age Group Synchro Championships

The 1100 sq m Glevum Hall is ideal for sporting events, with its 300 capacity viewing balcony, plus 460 retractable seats.

Aspire during 2010 hosted over 30 sporting events including :

• The Shito-Kai Karate England Invitational Championships
• The British Gymnastics Team Gym Finals
• The British Gymnastics Women's Espoir Championships
• The Gloucestershire Schools Cheerleading Championships
• The English & Home Nation Trampoline Championships
