These stages have been re-launched and now have more structure in line with the Swim school. This will enable you as a customer to view the outcomes your child is working towards (as you can now access home portal) and the badge and certificates have taken on a new look to encourage you child to join in the FUN of the classes.
GL1 award winning Swim School offers all kids the opportunity to learn to swim in a well structured environment.
The ASA National teaching plan is a multi-skill programme for swimmers to learn how to swim, be proficient in water and then offers the opportunity of continuing in advanced aquatic sports such as the academy, competitive swimming, snorkeling, Waterpolo, diving, synchronised swimming and rookie lifesaving.
At GL1, we’re always looking for the best way to help kids learn to swim and with our new rolling swim school programme, it’s now better than ever!
We now hold lessons 50/51 weeks of the year, with guaranteed places for those already enrolled.
This enables continued progression and ongoing assessment for all swimmers involved, with the opportunity to improve and progress more swiftly, with fewer breaks in their learning.
With the introduction of our new state of the art booking system, customers can now view the progress of their child on a weekly basis. This is all completed online by logging into our HomePortal and following the prompts.
We also have a highly trained team who are dedicated and passionate to make sure that you and your child experience "excellent customer service" and swimming is an enjoyable and progressive one.
Nicola Willaims, Swimming development officer and Carron Bird, Swim Coordinator are available to help you with any queries you may have, along with a qualified team of dedicated swim teachers/coaches who will make sure your child's journey in aquatics is a FUN, safe and progressive experience.
What’s more, we’re now offering a Direct Debit scheme, which gives access to all courses at GL1. Making it easier than ever to enrol onto a course in our award winning swim school.
Providing lessons 7 days a week this gives customers the opportunity to find a time and day to suit (subject to availability).

Active Life Membership
Swimming lessons are now part of the "active life membership" which means (for the same cost or in some cases for less) offers a fantastic range of FREE activities and discounts adding value to this membership.
How much will this cost me?
Memberships start from as little as £22.50 per month, depending on the age or ability of your child. Pick up an active live membership for more details or speak to a member of our swim/customer advisor team.

During the holidays we have weekly junior snorkelling sessions available for all young people who want to get into snorkelling in a really fun way. There are seven levels to complete as part of the course. When qualified as a Dolphin Snorkeller you will get a certificate to keep.

If you feel that groups lessons are not for you we also offer 1-2-1/2-2-1 with a swim teacher/coach who can tailor make each session to suit your individual needs.
We also offer adult swimming lessons, and because we know how busy adults are, we have made our adult learn to swim programme as flexible as possible through the introduction of pay as you go lessons. By downloading the adult leaflet you will be able to plan your lessons around your busy schedule by picking out each week the best time for you.
