GL1 Swim School

The ability to swim is an aspiration, which all parents have for their children. As well as being great fun, it could also help in a future career, or even save a life!

GL1 SwimSchool runs the National Plan for Teaching Swimming; a single pathway for swimmers to learn how to be both competent and confident in the water. It is a multi-skill programme for swimmers to learn how to swim, be proficient in water and then offers the opportunity of continuing in advanced aquatic sports such as competitive swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and rookie lifesaving. Full course information can be found below.

GL1 SWIM SCHOOL HAS CHANGED!

At GL1, we’re always looking for the best way to help kids learn to swim, and with our new rolling swim school programme, it’s now better than ever!

Instead of running courses every term, we’re now holding lessons 50 weeks of the year, in 10-week blocks, with guaranteed places for those already enrolled.

This enables continued progression and ongoing assessment for all swimmers involved, with the opportunity to improve and progress more swiftly, with fewer breaks in their learning.

What’s more, we’re now offering a Direct Debit scheme, which gives access to all courses at GL1, not just swimming, making it easier than ever to enrol onto one of our courses.
